Akshay Kumar Says Health Matters More Than Money and Fame

Mumbai: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has shared a candid perspective on success, wealth and well-being, saying that good health remains the most valuable asset in life, far above money or fame.

Speaking at a promotional event for his latest film Welcome to the Jungle, the actor was asked about the importance of money in his life. Kumar responded with characteristic honesty, remarking that people who claim not to care about money are either saints or individuals who already possess enough of it.

Acknowledging the role of financial security, Kumar said wealth is important and has its place in everyone’s life. However, his outlook has evolved over the years. Reflecting on life experiences, he noted that many people have lost fortunes and later rebuilt them through determination and hard work.

According to the actor, recovering lost health is a far greater challenge. While money can often be earned again, regaining health completely is much rarer. He emphasized that health forms the foundation for every other achievement and should be a person’s top priority.

“There is nothing more important than good health,” Kumar said, adding that once a person is healthy, opportunities to earn and rebuild always exist.

The actor concluded by expressing his wish that everyone be blessed with good health, describing it as life’s greatest wealth.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome to the Jungle features a star-studded ensemble cast and released in cinemas worldwide on June 26, 2026, with paid previews beginning on June 25.
